Justin will share information about the residential heat pump market stands today and what will shape where it goes next. With a focus on the Midwest, Justin will provide a landscape overview of the market’s evolution, including expanding deployment options and trends in consumer adoption and affordability. He will also take a closer look at the installation workforce and emerging tools, technologies, and approaches that can enable high-quality deployment at scale and help ensure heat pumps deliver their expected benefits.

Chris will provide an overview of the New England Heat Pump Accelerator, a regional initiative designed to transform the market for cold-climate heat pumps and accelerate building decarbonization. Chris will highlight the Accelerator's Innovation Hub, where utilities, program administrators, community-based organizations, and other stakeholders collaborate to develop, test, and scale innovative heat pump solutions, with a particular focus on addressing the needs of low- and moderate-income households and communities across New England.

Chris leads the Innovation Program for the New England Heat Pump Accelerator, overseeing strategy development, grant initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing activities across the region. Throughout his career, he has designed and managed clean energy programs spanning building decarbonization, electrification, renewable energy, and community-focused market transformation efforts.

Justin focuses on the development of beneficial electrification, applied research, and solutions. He brings his passion to responsibly accelerating market development and adoption of heat pump technology for space and water heating.
